This… Is a Bogtrotter cake:
There are no words to accompany it, but that is what it was researched to be, designed and implemented to be 100% pure Bogtrotter. It was excellent; moist but still flavoursome, great toothsome texture. It imitated the barely describable chocolatey siren-song of the Matilda cake quite beautifully. The main problem here being that I can’t recreate it. The lack of documentation about the process, about the origins of the recipe, means that I’m left floundering about in the narrow hollows of my memories for any trace of providence with little to no hope of emerging with sweet success. The only vague fragment I can muster is that I’m sure it contained cornflour…
I don’t like chocolate cakes, as a rule, so this feels particularly wounding that I found a great one and discarded it to the wasteland of my mind.
This must be rectified. The following are my waypoints in the dark:
This makes mention of cornstarch, but nothing else in it triggers positive recall. However it remains a prime suspect.
