I enjoyed this, the ragu is quite acidic as are many of Tom Kerridge’s, and I would turn that down a hint. I think the general idea here is a bolognese with spiralised veg. In which case there are probably other ragu recipes I’d head to before this one, albeit I’d like to try again with minor tweaks. The courgette and feta works well, the feta adding a heft to the dish that spiralised veg can miss, making it a more interesting pasta substitute. From Tom Kerridge, Dopamine Diet

Very nice, with a few caveats that largely revolve around mistakes. Firstly, I forgot the vinegar at the end which helps significantly temper the sweetness. Secondly, I would be very careful with the honey, I may have used too much this time, indeed I would consider using less than the recipe suggests next time. The crispy chicken is great and the dish suffers without that savoury hit and texture change. I can attest to this as I’m having leftovers for lunch right now, sans the chicken. The heat of the fresh chilli is also an important part of the dish,…

Honestly this is a large amount of meat that I would be very tempted to mix up with some veggies in the future. By the end I was feeling slightly greasy. It is also a fair amount of work with multiple processes and some waits, not necessarily suited to a week night However other than these minor nitpicks I can’t really fault this. The pork was sharp and delicious, the cauliflower and tahini puree was really wonderful and definitely a thing that can be used elsewhere. Turning into a big fan of tahini. The only other thing I might pay…

This is a lovely warming soup, quick, easy and cheap to make in bulk. Perhaps I’d turn down the heat a notch, but then on another day this could easily be just the ticket. Crisping the crispy onions up in the oven seems a faff, but is well worth it. I also squeezed a little lime over the soup just before serving to great affect. The only negative I can possibly attribute is that it was party to my hand blender blending its last, the motor giving up just as the final chunks of cauliflower were liquidised. Highly irritating. This whole thing was a powerful collection of flavours, picked chillies and artichoke hearts, anchovies and capers. They ride close to the edge, but it’s delicious and really brought all together by the egg. As much as it did work, I think next time I might be tempted to leave the capers out of the sauce, just to tone things down one notch. Love the process of marinating the turkey in buttermilk… Well, actually Greek yoghurt and lemon in this case, because buttermilk is not always at hand. The crisp onions, coconut flour and sesame seed coating was lovely and…
